Västgöta Nation's Associations
Västgöta nation has rich cultural traditions, and our associations are responsible for keeping them alive. We offer three choirs - a ladies' choir, a men's choir and a mixed choir. We also have a theatre society and cantata group, a sports association, a magazine and a Västergötland county association.
The Ladies' Choir - VGDK
Västgöta Nation's Ladies' Choir focuses primarily focuses on fun and entertainment. You can find the choir singing at parties around Uppsala, performing tunes ranging from Cee-Lo to classical Taube. VGDK practices Thursday nights in the great hall at the nation.
The choir accepts new members in the beginning of every semester and are constantly looking for ladies with experience in singing, reading notes and a fondness of having fun whilst doing it. To join you have to book an admission exam with the chairperson.
The Men's Choir - VGMK/ Korgossarna
Men's choir: a tradition and a necessity. What would, after all, the student life in Uppsala be without Västgöta Nation's Men's Choir? They entertain at all kinds of student related parties, host concerts and have a long tradition of entertaining at disputation parties and other academic gatherings.

Västgöta Nation's Choir
Västgöta Nation's Choir is the nation's mixed gender, and biggest, choir. They practice every Tuesday night between 6 pm-8 pm in the nation's grand hall. The choir performs at various events at Västgöta nation, for example at the nations gasques, balls, concerts and more. Västgöta Nation's Choir is a very social association that hosts parties for their members, have rehearse weekends and a yearly trip outside Uppsala. They sing everything from traditional ballads to pop and musicals. New members are accepted in the beginning of every semester.

The Theatre Group
Västgöta Nation's Theatre group meets every Monday at 6 pm in the great hall. They are an active group and devote themselves to farce and theatre.
If you are interested in theatre, helping out with production (build set pieces, make-up, etc) or anything related, you are more than welcome to come by any Monday or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Sports Society - VGIF
VGIF is Västgöta nation's sport association which offers all sorts of sport activities.
The chairman position is held by Elisabeth Wade.
The weekly schedule for this term is:
Yoga at VG, Mondays between 6 pm an 7 pm.
The Nation's Magazine - Västgötacorrespången
Västgöta Correspången – commonly referred to as Corren – is the nation's magazine and goes way back in time. Corren's task is to reflect the ongoing work at the nation aswell as Västra Götalands county. The editional staff consists of one editor-in-chief and three editors. The nation's photographer has a tight relation with the magazine.
Västgöta Correspången releases three numbers per semester, always a week before the nation's ordinary convention, where and when members are selected to different positions at the nation. The door to Corren is always open for those who love to write, document time and try something new.

Västgöta Nation's Landskapsförening
Västgöta Nation's landskapsförening is an non-profit society, which purpose is to create bonds between the senior and the new members of Västgöta nation and support the nation in its work. Landskapsföreningen yearly hosts a feast in the fall, seminars and meetings.
Who can join?
Anyone that is or has been a member of Västgöta nation or has a link to it are more than welcome to join. The association has about 230 members.
